The information presented on this Web Site is arranged in two basic page types these being section index pages and document pages. The layout of all pages comprises of four sections which are a header, a navigation bar, the page body, and a footer.

Page Header and Footer

The page header section always displays the Adena logo on the left with the page title in large letters on the right of the logo. The page footer gives the date the page was last revised and a copyright notice. The footer may also contain icon links to organisations we are associated with.

Navigation Bar

The navigation bar provides up to three icons to allow backward navigation from the current page to a previous page. The home page doesn't need these 'back' icons, instead it provides 'special' icons for things like this Help Page.

Page Body

The page body either contains a collection of folder and document icons with any applicable notes, or a complete document. All the icons provide forward navigation through a logical series of sections, and sometimes sub-sections, to facilitate the selection and display of documents that contain information about the selected product, service or technical topic.

The picture below shows the layout of a typical section index page containing a collection of folders. The page header identifies the page as being the "Stage Sound Catalogue" so this page is an index to sub-sections containing various types of sound products. The navigation bar provides icons and links to enable you to go back directly to the Theatre Home Page or the main Products Catalogue index. The icons in the page body enable you to go forward to the information of the type indicated. The body text provides a welcome message at the top and may contain some 'Ordering' notes at the bottom that are relevant to this section of the catalogue. The page footer shows when the page was last revised and a the copyright notice.

Layout of a Documents Collection Page

The picture below shows the layout of a typical section index page containing a collection of documents. The page header identifies the page as being the "Glitter and Sparkles" page so this page is an index to documents about various types of glitter makeup products. The navigation bar provides icons and links to enable you to go back directly to the Theatre Home Page or the Makeup Catalogue index. The icons in the page body enable you to go forward to documents about each of the products indicated. In this case the icons are also grouped by the manufacturer's name. The body text provides a welcome message at the top and some 'Ordering' notes at the bottom that are relevant to this section of the catalogue. The page footer shows when the page was last revised and a the copyright notice.

Layout of a Documents Collection Page

The picture below shows the layout of a typical document page containing detailed information about a product. The page header identifies the page as being the "Adena DMX Terminators" so this page is a document about some DMX Terminators made by Adena. The navigation bar provides icons and links to enable you to go back directly to the Theatre Home Page, go back directly to the Lighting Catalogue index, or go back to the DMX Accessories page that contains this document and documents for other similar products. There are no icons in the page body. The body provides a description and photo of the product along with the necessary ordering information. The body may also contain additional photos, diagrams and technical details that apply to various products. For products where there are colour choices, the ordering information table will show the available colours. The page footer shows when the page was last revised and a the copyright notice.
